Wisdom teeth ?

what can you take for realy sore wisdom teeth? it has to be taken out and it is infected?

Wisdom teeth ?
antibiotics %26amp; strong painkillers
Reply:You may need an antibiotic to flush out the infection, go and see your dentist because you don't want to go septic
Reply:You could try Corsodyl, which is a medicated mouth wash that helps to combat problems with gums - I have had a number of infections from my wisdom teeth and the dentists have always suggested using this. You can also take whatever painkillers you would normally have to help with the pain relief.

But if your gums are infected then you should probably also be prescribed antibiotics so if you haven't been to see your dentist yet then go!!!
Reply:see your dentist..they may need to come out
Reply:They *are* literally a pain. It's worth the inconvenience and discomfort to get rid of them permanently.

If your dentist recommends rinsing your mouth with salt water afterwards, don't ignore this advice. I thought I knew better, did without the rinse and ended up with a really sore socket. I have no idea what it does, but it works.

(I tried half a bottle of Scotch as a painkiller when one of my wisdoms was troublesome, but I can't recommend that as the hangover's nearly as bad as the toothache)
Reply:Two aspirins and a shot of whiskey is one of the best things for that. It won't make the pain go away completely, but you'll likely feel some definite relief.

You can't do it when working or driving, of course. But it gives you something to look forward to.
Reply:Sounds like you have an infection called Pericoronitis which is a common side effect with wisdom teeth.

Try rinsing the mouth out with a glass of warm salty water, this will help wash away any food debris which have become impacted beneath the gum of the tooth and the salt will act like an antiseptic, pain killers will help, Nurofen are good as they are a pain killer and an anti inflammatory and will help reduce any swelling around the gum.

Your better off making an appointment to see your dentist who will Be able to give you a course of antibiotics and arrange for you to have the wisdom's removed.
Reply:Cocaine and Ketamine every hour or so.
Reply:anbesol gel can work wonders, i've tried the painkillers and things, but i find that this gel also helps on top of them because it's not like bonjella where it just soothes your gums, it can actually numb the area for a while which great for when you are about to sleep.

there is a maximum strength gel and also a liquid medium too with the active ingedient Benzocaine, which is an oral anesthetic. you could ask your pharmasist for it and give it a try, i mean it's always worth a try if it can relieve the pain for even just a little while.
