Wisdom teeth?

i think my wisdom tooth is growing and my gums are killing me is there any medicine for it because i dont want to go to the dentist i'm scared help please

Wisdom teeth?
do you know if your wisdom's are coming in straight? I had no problems when my wisdom's came out. Your's may be jamming up against the teeth in front.

Bite the bullet and see a dentist.
Reply:orajel...
Reply:rub some clove oil on it, but don't use too much because you will go into a coma and you might die
Reply:Don't be afraid...they will put you to sleep to remove them. If they grow in they can crowd your other teeth and make them all really crooked. Wisdom teeth can also cause alot of pain and are susceptible to decay. You are all grown up now...take care of you!
Reply:My wisdom teeth are coming in just now too,i know how you are feeling.I use bongela gel, that sooth's it or clove oil if it's really sore that numbs it.Both can be bought at a pharmacy,.
Reply:Orajel works wonders. I also chewed carrots back where the wisdom teeth were coming in. That seemed to help me a lot.
Reply:i think you shouldnt be scared you should just go. i just recently had my wisdom teeth out. if you go to an oral surgeon they put you to sleep you never even know it happened. i woke up and i thought i was only there for a few minutes lol but i was done. and they give you really good pain killers so your not in that much pain. trust me when i say that cuz i cant stand pain at all and i didnt really feel hardly anything. hope that helps :)
Reply:i was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out literally 9 yrs ago. get it done now, don't let the fear rule you otherwise you'll become a snaggletooth. try orajel and max strength ibuprofen
Reply:ANNIE,

YOU DON'T KNOW IF THESE ARE GROWING IN STRAIT OR NOT. HAVE YOUR DENTIST TAKE SOME X-RAYS AND GIVE YOU DIFFERENT TREATMENT CHOICES.

YOU CAN LET THEM GROW IN OR YOU CAN EXTRACT THEM.
Reply:Your gums might be "killing you" not only because of the erupting (growing) wisdom tooth. It might be:

1) gingival inflamation - gingivitis or if the inflamation is around the erupting tooth it is called pericoranaritis

2) obturations or crowns or anything that is irritating the gum into that area (if there isn't any sign of tooth into the area)

3) it might be also the erupting teeth

4) it might be something else like periodontitis, etc

Unless you do not see a dentist, you can never be totally sure if that pain is just from the wisdom teeth. Anyways, if it is, you again need to see a doctor - there might be some "obstruction" onto their way (erruption) or maybe there is simply not enough space (that's the most common case with inferior wisdom teeth).

Go see a dentist! :) We are not that scary! :)

Take care,

Raia
