Wisdom teeth?

I'm getting all my wisdom teeth out on Friday. Not looking forward to it. They're just coming in. So, they have to put me into a light sleep. Does anyone know how long it takes to come out of it?

Wisdom teeth?
It happens so fast you wont even believe it's over. The worst part is after that. When I had it done, my cheeks didn't swell up, but I have seen some people where there cheeks swell up a little. It's painless. Don't worry about a thing, you will be fine.
Reply:it does not take long
Reply:I don't know but I am getting mine out in two weeks.
Reply:you get some good dope after it's finished.
Reply:Depending if they are impacted or not like mine were, the surgery could be as quick as 45 mins. When you wake they check you out and give you medicine for pain and makes sure someone is there to take you home. So I would say after you wake probably another 30 mins
Reply:I had mine taken out last summer. Same problem as you. Let's see...I went in at 10:30 They gave me an IV and this green stuff to drink that put me out. I was out of there by 11 or 12, don't remember exactly (suprise, suprise). I didn't experience any bruising and only a little swelling. There were no problems at all.
Reply:A couple of hours, at the most.
Reply:shouldn't take very long....
Reply:Not that long. You won't even know it.It's pretty quick. In and out less than an hour.Good Luck.
Reply:When I had mine done, I slept practically the whole rest of the day. Jello and spaghetti-O's will be your best friends for a week or so.
Reply:20-30 Minutes - just depends on how your body reacts to the stuff that knocks you out.
Reply:I did just the local and it was over pretty fast it was over in 30 minutes

I was back to normal in a few days
Reply:You won't care if they are using nitrous oxide. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I was soooo relaxed and didn't worry about what was going on around me. Try not to worry about it. It should be over within an hour.
Reply:I had my wisdom teeth out a good many years ago (i'm a sexy senior citizen) and back then (approx. 1955) I believe it took about 20 mins. Don't think it is much different today!! Good luck!!
Reply:It really depends on the patient and the dentist or oral surgeon.

Took 15 minutes to remove my teeth and about 5 minutes for me to come out of it. I was a little groggy.
Reply:had mine taken out last winter and

as quick as you're asleep you're waking up. it's weird

then realization of where you are

then you're walking out of the office with 2 huge rolls of cotton balls shoved in your slack jawed numb a55, drewling mouth

then later.. much later you decide you need to eat

but you can't close your mouth because your lips are the size of angelia jolie's (only not as sexy)

it was an experience fo sho!

it takes about an hour to do depending, I had 2 impactions.

and a month or 2 to heal.(for me!!) it is definetly worth doing though

I like my smile a lot better now!!
Reply:I just had my wisdom taken out two weeks ago. I wasn't even put to sleep. I just got some local anesthesia in the back of my mouth. My teeth were impacted so my oral surgeon needed to cut through my gums, shatter my wisdom teeth and then suck it out. I was awake for this whole procedure %26amp; saw everything! However, it didn't hurt at the time. The anesthesia wore off after a couple hours. I was swollen for about a week and half. Make sure you get good pain killers. =)
