Wisdom teeth?
I just had mine taken out yesterday. I did what you yourself are doing. I looked on the internet for how other people had to deal with it, and what they went through. I got myself all nervous and was actually ready to reschedule from what I had read. Instead I went in yesterday, and they hooked me up to an iv. They told me they were going to relax me, so gave me a slight injection, and boom I was out. Dont remember a thing. All I remember is waking up from what felt like to be 10 seconds later and I was done. NO pain. NO swelling. Nothing. All those horror stories were not true for me. I was perfectly fine. And I could talk. I was even yelling a couple hours later while I was joking with my friends. It is now a day later, and I still have no pain, no swelling, and no bleeding. My wisdom teeth bled for like 10 minutes. Don't beleive everything you read. Trust me.
Reply:ok. they should give you good pain killers afterwards. you can't eat or drink anything for 24 hours and no smoking or you'll get a dry socket ... or 4. and those are REALLY painful. you probably won't want to move your head too much. you'll be able to eat and drink and carry on your normal talking and stuff after 2 to 4 days. it's really nothin to worry about.
Reply:expect pain, allot of pain............
make sure you have Tylenol 3 with codeine.. tell the to give you prescription
Reply:i just had that done in february. and dont worry it's not that bad. it was my first "surgery" too. once ur drugged, u wont remember anything. and u'll be loaded up on vicodin or something so it shouldnt hurt that badly. but ur cheeks may be a little puffy. good luck!
Reply:pain..alot of it. they suck really bad. you cant eat. and i even puked from it. they should give you painkillers so make sure and take them. i think its best to just sleep basically the whole time.
Reply:Ok I had mine removed 6 years ago and my boyfriend just got his removed 1 month ago and its not that bad actually my boyfriend removed all of his and he felt nothing afterward and they didn't put him under they just gave him local anestisia. He was able to talk his mouth was not swollen he just had to eat jello and stuff like that for 2 or 3 days but he was fine.
For me my face did swell up and I did turn black and blue but that is because I have fair skin. I was in a lot of pain for a couple of days but they give you pain killer and antibotics. I removed 3 wisdom teeth plus a cyst that was attached to my wisdom tooth which caused to a lot of my pain. But over all you should be fine and your smart getting them out all at once so you'll only suffer once. Good luck. Just remember you will be fine and the pain will go away and your mouth will feel a lot better. Good Luck
Reply:thanks for asking a good question. I hafta get mine out next week and I am nervous too. I've had oral surgery before. I had to be put under anesthesia - the kind they put in your arm (IV). It didn't make me sick though.
