Wisdom teeth..?
You might try brushing the gums where they are coming in and then applying Ambesol or another oral anesthetic to dull the sensation.

Reply:You can try orajel to help with the itching. There is also Benadryl that will help with the itching also. I would recommend going to the dentist to make sure they aren't bothering anything.
Reply:Are you not going to have them removed??? Don't they usually do that before they start coming in???
Reply:punch em out....

A good ole fashioned punch in the mouth fixes that...
Reply:try chewing on carrots.
Reply:Ice water? I know that when babies are teething, they chew on an ice cold teething ring, so maybe the cold ice water will help? When my own wisdom teeth came in there were no problems, so I can't pull from experience. Hope you find relief.
Reply:Oragel will numb it on a temp basis but, u need to have a Dentist look at them. Make sure he/she does an X-Ray b/c somethimes they can mess up all of your teeth and will need to be removed. I had all four taken out.
Reply:oral gel
Reply:My wisdom teeth have come in as well. One actually broke through the gums about 2 years ago, and one other is still beneath the gums. I think I understand what you are experiencing. You are teething! Now you know what babies are going through!

You may have other teething signs such as swelling of the gums, headache, or a slight fever. This is what I experienced when my teeth broke through. I suggest rest, and maybe even ice packs and cold drinks to keep the itching down.

I was pretty worried about my wisdom teeth coming in. I heard all of these terrible stories about how the wisdom teeth could totally mess up your teeth alignment. It has not happened. Am I lucky? I don't know. I now have a funny wisdom tooth in the back of my mouth, but no adverse effects. Perhaps I'll get it out someday. I'll have to ask my dentist if that is necessary.

I am sure it itches because the gum tissue is being stretched to make room for your wisdom tooth. I am guessing that you will experience a bit of swelling next due to all of the pressure. Try ice, rest, and cool drinks for your teething.

Good luck!
Reply:Some people are lucky enough to have room for their wisdom teeth to come in okay, but you still have to put up with teething pain.

Get some OraJel or other OTC 20% benzocaine and use according the label directions.

If they bug you a lot, you might be able to have the gum removed that is still over top of the teeth. I often do this on one side after the patient has put up with the teething pain for months and declined the treatment. Then when the other side hurts, they come in IMMEDIATELY and ask me to do the same thing for that side, so it doesn't hurt all that much.
Reply:See a dentist!
