Wisdom teeth?

ok already posted a question before when my whole mouth was sore. so heres all the info. i got 4 wisdom teeth pulled on the 14. with a 2 days i was able to eat normal food but i couldnt open my mouth all the way. on the 21st i got my stiches cut out and now i can finally open my jaw all the way all the soreness was gone. and then randomly thursday night(yesterday) the top right side of my gums started to hurt. all the way in the back. its super swollen. theres a lil bit of blood. but no other fluids i took a viccidin this morning and it did nothing to reduce the pain. and i read somewhere that mortin helps. took that and it reduced the pain. but again, is this normal? why do u think it is swollen?

It could be that an abscess is forming (infection) . It needs checking out with the person that pulled your teeth.
Reply:I can't imagine why you're asking us and not calling your dentist /oral surgeon.
Reply:I had all 4 taken out and honestly it hurt but it was also a relief . They would come in and out and that ache was worst.
Reply:could be food particles in the opening. rinse with warm salt water.
Reply:you need to get them pulled and if it stay swollen over four days to a week go to the doctor. or the E.R
Reply:Sounds like you need to call your dentist to see if he/she thinks you need to come in. With a long weekend coming up I wouldn't wait.
Reply:Go see the oral surgeon who did your work, hon. All kinds of things could be going on.... even pieces of bone that were not removed but loosened during the extraction...
Reply:My guess is that you ate food to soon and there is a piece of food caught in the open wound. Swelling of anything is never a good sign nor is it normal long after something has already healed.
Reply:nothing to worry about BUT you have to go to the doc right away.





this happened to my wife 2 monthes ago...as soon as the stickes cam out a little piece of a food particle got caught in the hole, and it got infected...





its no big deal if you get it taken care of, other than you will have a sore spot another week.








IF YOU DONT GET IT TREATED- in very rare cases, the food will rot, which takes several weeks, and the infection can spread to your sinuses, and eyes, ear infection...brain very rarely.





just goto the maxio/oral surgeon plave and they will put medicated guaze in it. :)
