Wisdom teeth?
i had mine pulled out about 2 months ago. it is not as bad as you think at all. but it also depends on your dentist really.. if you have worked with your dentist before, then you know if he/she are too harsh (i hate those dentist). my dentist put enough anestesia, and pulled my tooth gentley. i left his office, and was talking on the phone with clients, and had the cotton in my mouth... icalled the dentist after 2 hours, becasue my tooth was still bleading...so they told me to stop talking for an hour and it will stop bleeding.. and that exactly what happend. ...

you will not have a hole in you gum, it will smooth and even out out in less than a month.

why are you pulling them out??????

do you really really have to?

i pulled mine only because it can not be fixed

EDIT:

My daughter is going to have them pulled out too.

good luck dear...do not be scared..really, But, tell your dentist to go gentely, and he will, and it wont hurt..trust me. let me know what happens tomorrow..Okay?

Reply:eh its no biggie but then again everyones different.

my 3 sisters and myself had our wisdom teeth out at the same time. i had a full dinner that night when my sisters couldnt even talk. it took me two days to get over the pain completely but my one sister it took 3 weeks. so i guess it depends on you
Reply:I had all of my wisdom teeth out at once! I had just the normal stitches not the disolving ones which helps your mouth to heal faster - the stitches were out in a few days where the dissolving onces can take up to weeks.

Anyway i had a 2 panadol before i went in (to help keep the swelling down after) and i was eating normal food within a day or so. I had no swelling at all.

But then, it really depends on how your body will react to it. But it wasn't a problem for me at all.

Good Luck! - believe me - its MUCH better without them . .
Reply:When I got it done... I can't say that it wasn't scary to me, but it wasn't nearly as bad as what I imagined it. It will just take a while for the bleeding to stop and feel pretty beat up (so go home and be waited on for the rest of the day ; ) ), and you'll be rather sore for a while.
Reply:I have to get mine pulled out too... From what I know they completely put you under and you won't feel a thing. When its starts to wear off you will feel pain for the next few days usually a week... You can't eat hard foods and you can't sip outta straws..... Make sure you have jello, soup, yougurt, and ice cream on hand... You will also have to change your gauges every two hours.... Make sure most importantly you stay on top of your pain medication.... Whatever your doctor gives you is important. Take it every four to six hours and you sure be fine. Oh yea and make sure you have someone drive you home because once again you will feel groggy for a few days.... Wish you luck and hope everything works out...... Just relax because if your scared then everything will go wrong....
Reply:The first days the worst. Your dentist should give you same pain killers, if they don't then take something like Tylenol to keep the pain at bay. You might also what to keep ice on your cheeks for the first day 20 min on each side and that helps.
Reply:I get mine out tomorrow,

but the worst part is that my dad is taking me, and he has this crappy van that I have to ride in,

and we live like an hour from the surgeon. All the same, I've been assured many times from countless people that it's not that bad,
