Wisdom Teeth?

I Am Going This Thursday To Get All My Wisdom Teeth Pulled. Some People Say That It Hurts Like Hell And Some Say It's Not That Bad. They Say They're Gonna Put Me To Sleep. So On A Scale From 1-10 How Bad Do You Think It'll Hurt And Be Serious. Only Answer If You've Had It Done

Reply:I had my top two pulled, and they had to cut the gum to get at them. I was only frozen, and it was sore for two days, Pretty gross the first few hours after - but OK after that.
Reply:I had all of them pulled at once. I will say that it hurts enough to where you might get a small headache, but it doesn't extremely hurt. For the scale, I'd say it was like a 5. But that goes down after you start taking the pain pills anyway.
Reply:Does not hurt at all and it is so worth it. It is a very strange feeling when they put you to sleep. They connect the IV into your arm and tell you it will help you relax. Up to this point most people are a "little" nervous. Within 20 seconds you will be sound asleep and will wake up after the operation. A canker sore or a cut tongue is worse than getting your wisdom teeth pulled. You will be fine. I ran 4 miles the very same evening after the operation. Only complaint is you can't eat like you normally would for the first 2 days. After that, you will be 100% fine in regards to eating. Worst part is making sure you don't bite your tongue off while it is still numb from the operation. Your tongue and mouth will be numb for the first 2 hours or so. Be careful not to chomp on your tongue cause you won't be able to feel it and when the numbness goes away you will have a huge gash on your tongue and a lot of pain. I did this once after getting a shot from my dentist. A mistake I will only make once.
Reply:i had all four pulled out at once. b/c they put me to sleep, i really didn't feel anything. i'm being honest. hence, i'd strongly recommend being put asleep when you get the procedure done - unless of course, you have some known allergic reaction to the medication.





after the deed has been done and you are sent home, it will hurt a bit. you'll come home with a whole bunch of cotton stuffed in your mouth to help stop the bleeding. they'll give you some pain medication as well (but don't use it if you don't need to). tough it out, but really it wasn't too bad. so don't be scared. good luck on thursday.
Reply:I had mine done local ans. and I was fine the only feeling you will notice is the shot since you will have the privledge of being put out. As far as recuperation goes be good; No smoking, drinking out of straws, and do not I repeat do not change the guaze to quickly or talk too much after wards. Since this will losen the clots and cause dry socket, which is what I ended up with. Other than that, you will live- mouths heal quickly and life goes on. It's not that bad I did mine inbetween colledge classes left at 11 and came back at 12:30. However your's maybe a little longer since you will be getting knocked out. I give it a 1 on the ricter scale compared to my previous accidents.
Reply:had all four of mine pulled 4 months ago and it didnt hurt, just the needles scared the living **** out of me and for whatever reason towards the end a few tears came out; maybe it was because it took so dam long or just all the dam tugging and cutting scared me lol. For me it hurt like frikin hell when i got out. Thank god for the pain killers.





Whats more, my face changed, i know they say no thats impossible but mine definitely did and it was a really drastic change too. its fuked up because nobody told me it would change and after researching and talking to a dental technician i found out that yes your face does frkin change. Mine changed drastically, from a triangular face all of a sudden to a square. so messed up. the past few months ive been wearing a dental mask or a scarf around my face when i go out because im not frikin used to looking averagly blah. im due for a chin implant to fix my dam face in May. god wanted to sue the dentist.
