My wisdom teeth are really hurting so if i just went to an oral surgeon would they take them out or at least check them or do i need to be referred or what do i need to do?

You'll most likely need a referral. Go to your regular dentist and get some x rays done and they can tell you the appropriate action to take.
Reply:yeah they will check if you still have enough room to keep them. if not they will most likely scedual a time to get them removed
Reply:You can just go to a regular dentist and have him inspect you. He will most likely remove them if theyre bothering you alot.
Reply:you need to get a referral from your regular dentist in order for insurance to cover the extraction. you'll need to save up some money because the whole procedure is expensive and they will probably make you pay a co-pay.
