Wisdom teeth?

hi, i just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, and just want to when will i be able to know that i have a dry socket. i mean i dnt feel any pain right know. just wondering how many days till i know i have one.. and how long does it take to heal the gum? and when can i smoke again?

I started smoking a couple of days after I got them out....but I didn%26#039;t smoke very much...and be careful that you don%26#039;t %26quot;suck%26quot; on the cigarette.





You%26#039;ll know if you have dry socket. I didn%26#039;t get it....but my husband did and he said that they hurt and they weren%26#039;t getting better. The good news is its a really easy fix if you do have it....so don%26#039;t worry so much.





My wisdom teeth started to feel better after about 4 days....it took about 2 weeks for them to feel normal...and about a month later I barely remembered it. :)
Reply:Typicaly it takes at least two weeks for you gums to heal. So i oul%26#039;dn%26#039;t smoke until them but you can%26#039; owever wait 2 days until the pain is gone and wash your mouth out with listerine after you smoke. You have to religiously throughout the day too.

It%26#039;s supposed to be painful, following a few days after your teeth are pulled. So I woud strongly suggest taking some strong painkillers at the first sign of pain. Don%26#039;t wait until it gets bad. And FYI, liquid painkillers work so much better than pills because it disolves directly into your bloodstream.
Reply:Be careful not to swish anything around the sockets. You don%26#039;t want to lose the blood clots you have there. Drink with a straw. Please don%26#039;t smoke. It is a good time to try and quit!
Reply:trust me u will know if u have it i got it the day after i got mine pulled and i dont know i got it it was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life i had it for a week b4 i went to the doc i didnt sleep i was taking 2 vicidons at a time and it wasnt working u get sharp pains in ur ears
