Wisdom teeth???

i was just told by someone that you can grow in your wisdom teeth twice is that true.......????

Wisdom teeth???
Not usually; but there are extra teeth(supernumerary) occasionally and they can be in any location and could come in where the wisdom teeth came from. So, it can happen.
Reply:No!
Reply:Yes you can have more than one set of wisdom teeth, just as you can have none. (My son never had any wisdom teeth develop. I only had three.) It%26#039;s not common, but it DOES happen. This is the article I found on it through ask.com

Wisdom Teeth Can Grow Back

Small Percentage Of People Have %26#039;Extra%26#039; Wisdom Teeth

Third molars are the last teeth to grow into the mouth and since they come in as people reach young adulthood, they%26#039;re nicknamed wisdom teeth. But the number of wisdom teeth can vary between people.

Ron Petrovich, 43, thought certain life milestones were behind him, such as getting out his wisdom teeth.

%26quot;When I was 18 years old I had all my wisdom teeth taken out and I thought once and done,%26quot; said Petrovich.

But a recent dental x-ray showed Petrovich%26#039;s two upper wisdom teeth were back.

%26quot;...which is not an uncommon thing either that you have more than four or they can be absent as well, where you have only three or two or, rarely, none at all,%26quot; explained Dr. Dieter Leipert.

Wisdom teeth usually erupt in the late teens or early 20s and most people have them removed. About 1 to 3 percent of the population have extra wisdom teeth growing behind the originals.

So, for a second time, Petrovich had his wisdom teeth taken out to avoid complications.

%26quot;They were angled moving right into the, into the erupted teeth and therefore they can cause problems from the pressure he could develop root cavities and that sort of thing or cysts and tumors as well,%26quot; said Leipert.

%26quot;So, now I%26#039;ve had braces twice. When I was a kid I had braces when I was in 6th grade then I had to do it again in high school. So now I%26#039;ve had my wisdom teeth out twice,%26quot; said Petrovich.

Petrovich%26#039;s wisdom teeth, all six of them, are finally gone for good and no one is the wiser.

Leipert says extra teeth, called %26quot;supernumerary teeth,%26quot; often run in families and while it%26#039;s possible to have extra teeth other than your wisdom teeth, it%26#039;s more rare.
