Wisdom teeth?

My boyfriend is getting his wisdom teeth out and we were wondering how much it hurt and how long u cant do things with ur mouth for

had mine taken out about 2 months ago. I didn%26#039;t really feel any pain afterwards. I woke up went home and took out the gauze and it stopped bleeding. I tried to open my mouth to see the wound just to see what it looks like and it started bleeding a lot. So after that I tried to avoid opening my mouth really wide until about the 4th day since I tried to brush the back. Even when it bled it didn%26#039;t hurt, its just your mind playing tricks on you when you taste blood and think its gushing. Other than that, I didn%26#039;t take any painkillers of any sort and had no problems. One of the annoying things was that it seemed like I was getting more siliva than normal and all the swallowing made me worry about dry sockets but that didn%26#039;t happen, basically after the 4-6 day things started going back to normal, was able to brush the back and everything with a little bleeding. Most the surtures came out while brushing or rinsing, the last surture came out on the 10th day, after about 2 weeks was completely back to normal and I started brushing like normal without even worrying about bleeding almost like the procedure didn%26#039;t even happen. There still is a hole in the gum though and its slowly getting smaller, food particles sometimes gets lodged into it but is easily removed by brushing with a toothbrush.





The salt water rinsing seemed like it didn%26#039;t really help too much with the odor so after bleeding stopped about 3-5 days after, i started diluting some listerine and rinsing with that.

Reply:It hurts if you don%26#039;t stay drugged up. I had all four taken out in one sitting. The needles that they have to shove into your gums hurt. Then there%26#039;s the swelling. I won%26#039;t sugar coat it, it sucks.
Reply:I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out 4 weeks ago. The pain is not that bad as long as you take pain killers when your meant to. I forgot to take take it once and the pain was unbearable it was the worst pain ever. The bad thing was is that i couldnt open my mouth that much as my jaw was very stiff. It took about a week for my mouth to open fully again and move freely. After 2 weeks i was fine. But it was the worst 2 weeks ever.
