My wisdom teeth are coming in..I%26#039;m 17....and my appointmant is in early September. Is that ok? Will my nice straight smile be affected? ( no conceit intended) :)
Wisdom teeth....?
If your wisdom teeth are coming in straight and they are not impacted your smile should not be affected. If they are coming in crooked or if they are impacted your dentist will probably have them removed so as not to impact your currently straight teeth. September is not very far away so I seriously doubt, either way, that your teeth would be affected in that short amount of time. I had my wisdom teeth removed last year at 30 years old. They were impacted and my dentist didn%26#039;t think they would ever come in. It wasn%26#039;t fun, I had all four removed the same day but at least you only have to do it one time!
Reply:If you don%26#039;t have enough room in your mouth for the wisdom teeth it could take the rest of your teeth out of line. However, it usually takes quite a while for wisdom teeth to grow in completely, it%26#039;s not going to happen over night. I would say you%26#039;ll be fine until your appointment in September. Hope this helps. :-)
Reply:Depends if you have a small jaw or not.
And like, have you had an xray to see how they%26#039;re doing?
Mine are coming through and my bottom teeth are getting a little crooked =/
I%26#039;d move the appointment nearer, i mean - it%26#039;s better to be safe than sorry and all of that..
Reply:NO.I WONT AFFECT YOUR SMILE,UNLESS YOU USUALLY SHOW ALL YOUR TEETH WHEN YOU SMILE.
Reply:it should be but if you dont have enough room for them to come in then they will cut them out...like mine.
