Wisdom teeth!!??!?

Alright so, my friend recently just got her wisdom teeth pulled all four at once. She wasn%26#039;t asleep when she got them pulled and aparently it was absoloutly horrible. She was sick for the week after the surgery throwing up blood and stuff (which just happens to be one of my biggest fears,dont ask why, i have no idea) her face was swollen and her tongue was in dange rof swelling up and choking her.she calle dme every single days to give me updates and tell me what she remembered of her experience (even though i didn%26#039;t really want to hear it.)I asked my dentist when mine should have to come out,and she said not anytime soon,in fact she couldn%26#039;t even see them in the x-rays yet.


Is there a possibilty that i wont have to get mine pulled, and if i do is it better to get put to sleep?

yes being sedated is the best! lol. I got mine taken out when i was 16 and then sedated me and sure afterwards you act a little loopy but just makes for a good story. I personally didn%26#039;t have that bad of an experience with getting mine out. I had all 4 taken out. Its better to get them out when they are still impacted, at least thats what my dentist told me, plus we couldn%26#039;t risk them coming in and moving my teeth around since i had just gotten out of braces. I threw up the first day but that was only because of the medication they gave me, i ended up going off of it after just one pill and just took tylenol. her story does sound scary, but its different for everyone. Its really not that bad.
Reply:I have 6 or 7 wisdom teeth. It%26#039;s possible to get up to 8. Most people only get 4.





I haven%26#039;t had to have any of them pulled. The first 4 didn%26#039;t even hurt coming in.

Reply:I am 24 and I only got one out because it was causing me pain. I will probably not get the other ones out. But really it depends on your teeth and how deep or twisted the roots are. Luckily mine were very short and straight so it was not a big deal, your friend might have been a difficult case, I dont think it is that bad for most people
