Wisdom Teeth?

Have anyone extracted all 4 wisdom teeth at one time? Any issues after extraction?

Wisdom Teeth?
I all four of mine plus one second molar that was sideways yesterday. I was really scared before the operation, but the operation itself was the easiest thing in the world. Usually, they hook you up with laughing gas before they even stick a needle in your arm, which didn't hurt a bit. The laughing gas results in loss of awareness, which is a good thing. I was out almost immediately. When I woke up, my mom was in the room and they were done.

The worst part is the first day after the extraction. They put gauze in your mouth to stop the bleeding. You might bleed anywhere from 2 hours to 5 hours after the operation. They numb you up for a good hour or to afterwords, but its best to take pain medicine as soon as you are able to do so. I had some issues with the narcotics they give you for pain, (they made me a little sick) but i found that just a single ibuprofen pill did the trick. The second day is much easier. The best foods to eat are those that you can swallow whole easily, like mac and cheese, apple sauce, eggs, and mashed potatoes. Ice cream and milkshakes are good too, but don't drink thorugh a straw for 48 hours after. In addition, your mouth will probably swell up a lot, but ice helps a lot with this. Good luck!
Reply:i've had 2 at once...it hurts a lot...just can't really eat any solid food for a few days. you might need to take some tylenol or painkillers after
Reply:Don't do all four. It's just too risky and it would make recovery harder.

Do 2 and then 2.
Reply:i had it extracted all at once. 3 of them were easily pulled out but one stubborn one was the most difficult. tat one gave me puffy cheeks for a week or two (and i had school!). It wasnt tat painful. Depends on ur body. My sis was in pain. The doc gave her painkiller (be careful wit them). U might have to take it if ur in pain otherwise if only a lil just take regular pain pills.

Also put ice on ur cheeks so it wont swell up. Also dont eat anythin tat is whole for a day or so. Drink milk. Dont exercise for like a month (the doc will give u a paper explaining it).
Reply:They only split up the surgeries if only two are ready. It is almost twice as expensive and twice as painful of a recovery to split the surgeries. Don't do it unless you have to.

The only tip I can give you is that you will feel really emotional when you come off the drugs they give you in IV form.

I cried, so did all my friends. I also flipped a stranger off for no reason.

Unfortunately the meds didn't work for me, so I was in pain during a lot of the recovery. I just had IBU profen.

Do not under any cirumstances, eat popcorn until your dentist says it's OK. Also try not to eat solids until you've healed.

Hope this helps.
Reply:i just recently had all four taken out..was about a month 3 weeks ago...no pain initially just drowsiness...put ice immediately for prob the first 24 hours atleast...if you dont want to swell..i had to put for 2 days but i never swelled up..did get some pain on the 2nd day but a pain reliever cured that never got any more pain after...only eat soft foods...no hard stuff or whole stuff...and dont try to open your mouth very wide cuz it will hurt more..also i bled mildly for about 2 days...so have cotton gauzes to put in to help stop the bleeding.
