I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled, and I was just wondering how badly your face can bruise. I have been told that since I am very pale skinned, that the bruising will be bad, but how bad? Everyone I've talked to didn't have any noticable bruising, only puffiness. I'm a little nervous and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Wisdom teeth?
I am very pale skinned too....pure white girl..LOL...anyways I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at once and my bottom ones were sideways or something where they had to work harder and cut deeper to get them out and I didn't bruise or if I did it wasn't noticeable but I did swell alot...underneath my eyes got a little dark but it was probably from pain pills and just being sore from the surgery...but you should be and I'm sure the bruising won't be too bad for you if you even have any...Good Luck and have lots of jello and pudding on hand when you have them taken out!
Reply:Well, I'm pale skinned too, and when I had mine out I did bruise. It wasn't too horrible though, and the bruising went away within a week. It wasn't really dark, but you could see it. Nothing that a little makeup wouldn't cover up though.
Good luck!
Reply:My daughter had all 4 of her wisdom teeth taken out and she is a redhead with very fair skin and she did not bruise. She swelled up some, but no bruising.
Reply:I had swollen and bruised cheeks for a few days... "look at how yellow that looks. That means you're healing!" so says my oral surgeon... pft. The right one more bruised than the left.
