Wisdom teeth?

I was wondering what kind of pain meds they give you for your wisdom teeth when you have them out?





I am only having my top two out.

Wisdom teeth?
It'll hurt way worse if your teeth are sideways and they have to dig them out. I got Hydrocodone (Lortab) and it didn't do anything! So I took a little bit more and it made me throw up (too much for my body weight I guess). 3 or 4 plain old motrin worked the best for me.

Reply:Hydrocodine- is what i got. I had all four of mine taken out and that's what they give me. It's a generic for vicodine. Works really well! Knocked me out for 2-3 days afterwards- so i wasn't in much pain.

Reply:Codeine. (A really strong pain killer). Be sure to follow the directions on the med. Eat something like Jello afterward because the medication requires food in your stomach...or you'll get really sick. And that would suck. Of course, that is only true of Codeine. If they give you something else, it may be different. Just talk to the dentist before hand and be sure you are clear on those instructions. And be sure anyone helping care for you is clear on them before the surgery to. Good luck.
Reply:I got my wisdom teeth taken out during the summer. It's by far the most unpleasant experience. I was given T3's to numb the pain. I couldn't take the pills because they were too large and chalky. I found Tylenol 500's easier to swallow.

Reply:to help the pain try cloves you get from the spice shop, are choice for wisdom teeth pain and bonjella the kids teeething gel. i know why kids cry when they`re cutting the gums. it fn hurts
