Wisdom teeth?

I just got my wisdom teeth removed 5 days ago. How long does it take to heal? And also what should I be doing on the 5th day? One of them was pretty bad and that's the one that hurts alittle but not a bad pain. Also how long does it take the stitches to disolve?

gargle with a mixture of warm water, salt and baking soda.





The salt will help dry out close up any open rawness, and the baking soda helps keep it sanitary.

Reply:make sure you are doing what your doctor said...when i had my wisdom teeth pulled, they did a bad job stitching up the incisions and i ended up getting an infection. i am an avid tooth brusher and mouth cleaner but it still happens. that little water squirty thing should really be used b/c it will help clean out the back of your mouth.


for the pain, they're probably still swollen so if you take advil it should help reduce the swelling and reduce the pain as well.


also, rinse with salt water.
