Wisdom teeth! ):?

i'm getting my wisdom teeth in and they are just starting to break the skin and it hurts like CRAZY! what can i do! its driving me nuts! what kind of medicine should i take? would tylenol be ok?

Wisdom teeth! ):?
Yeah, anything with ibuprofen works from my experience. Also try getting an ice cube and sticking over the tooth.

Are you getting them removed at all? If so, now it the time to do it. I'm not trying to scare you, but the longer you wait, the more formed your tooth is and the more it hurts.
Reply:tylenol would be fine...but I would suggest making an appt w/ an oral surgeon for a consult to get them removed! Wisdom teeth are so far back in the mouth that many people can not keep them clean enough to keep cavities away! Plus they can cause your other teeth to overcrowd!!
Reply:tylenol would b fine to take.
Reply:Yes, Tylenol or Advil will help reduce the swelling. You could also get headaches from it, so again those two will work well. Also, this may sound silly, but bite down gently on a wet facecloth or a baby teething ring, it feels a lot better. I'm 25 and just had all my wisdom teeth out a couple of months ago so I know the pain you're going through. Hope you get better soon!
Reply:youre not supposed to take ibuprofin during pregnancy, if youre not very far along (like first trimester) i wouldnt take anything, but farther along you can take tylenol. ive got a cavity in mine right now, and im trying to bear through it!! good luck!
Reply:tylenol would be ok, but also you could go to your dentist and make an appointment, ask about getting them removed but you could also ask him/her what medicine to use...painkiller? numbing stuff?
Reply:Ah! I am getting my wisdom teeth removed soon...
