Wisdom Teeth?

I am turning 12 in April, 2008.


My Dentist says that my teeth think that I am a year older than I really am.


I have a 2 teeth (one on each side) growing at the back of my mouth. They started growing like 2 or 3 years ago, and then stopped growing, and i think they started again, because the one on the left (my left) side had like a strip of gum (not chewing gum, the pink stuff that the teeth are stuck on to) accross it, and now i guess it broke and now i can play around with it, it broke on one side(the side closest to the front of my mouth). Is this normal?


(ok let me break it down:


I have a tooth at the back of my mouth.


It didn't grow all the way.


I have a narrow strip of gum across it.


Now it broke on one side and i can play around with it.


Is this normal?

It sounds like your twelve year molars are coming in right on time.Sometimes one cusp breaks through before the others.That piece of gum tissue your playing with should go away when the teeth fully erupt,Until then make sure you keep that area clean as it can be a trap for food and bacteria
Reply:I had the same problem not too long ago. Around when I was 12, too. I'm thinking it's just normal, I played with it too until one day it just wasn't there! I'd just try not to think about it, cuz sometimes it annoyed me. lol. It'll eventually just won't be there one day and you won't know what ever happened to it! =P
Reply:yeah! i used to have the same thing, but on both sides and i used to play around with it ALL the time.. and i completely forgot about it until i read this and i just realized the one side doesn't have it anymore! so i guess it goes away after awhile if you stop playing with it and forget about it.
