Wisdom teeth?

Are they supposed to grow like normal teeth?

Mine have grown in but half is still under the gum, is this normal?

Wisdom teeth?
Yer their is something wrong that dosen't sound wrong you should go to your dentist mate and get it checked out and get it all sorted out.
Reply:Yeah there fine mine never grew threw entirely, if they hurt get them taken out.
Reply:Yes, it's perfectly normal. Sometimes, it does not come out at all. That's when you have a problem - especially if it becomes painful.
Reply:no, you need to go see the dentist.. i dont know why everyone else is telling you it's normal... your wisdom teeth don't have room to come in so you usually have to get them cut out.. it's not a big deal, but if you dont get it done they will start hurting.. you'll see, your dentist will tell you the same thing..
Reply:Yes, but they may become impacted. See your dentest. You do not say how old you are, but anytime up to 21-22 yo keep getting them checked anyway.
Reply:yeah its normal, only if it starts giving you pain do you need to see a dentist.
Reply:well u know wat, mine hasnt grown yet!! thats cause im 14. but i have a different problem, the wisdom teeth are impacted and prevent the other teeth from growing in the right way. ur case, its totally fine, thats wat my dentist told me. ur luckier than me!!
Reply:What is your age? it is not necessary that they will errupt normally, because the wisdom teeth will errupt in three positions,1.straight

2.tilted to left side

3.tilted to right side

4.lies flat i mean horizantally

these teeth will not *** into normal position ,because their size is big they will not have enough space to turn %26amp;*** into normal position.
Reply:The teeth are often left in the jaw without having to remove them if they do not have problems. If, on the other hand your wisdom teeth get infected, food gets trapped under the gum or decayed, then they would normally be removed either by your dentist or a specialist. You should not be overly worried about them if they are half way outside the gums. Only seek the advice of a dental professional if you wish further information.
Reply:There are alot of yes and no answers but hear i go wisdom teeth can take a while to grow through and thay can at time recede back into the gums. Just because you may not be in pain dosent mean theres nothing wrong. I had my wisdom teeth out 10 years ago as mine wouldn't grow threw but i wasn't in pain. I would suggest you have them checked by your dentist anyway. The reason i say is you don't want to have future problems plus he can take an xray to see if theres a reason to why there not coming up.
Reply:No, its not normal, mine are like this too and its called impacted wisdom teeth. Its safe to leave them if they are not troubling you but you can have them removed if you wish.
