Wisdom Teeth?

I been having pain in my upper left side gum.It is behind the last molar. It is a tad swollen and is really sore when I push on it or apply pressure. It almost feels like something is jammed up in my gum. Does it sound like a wisdom tooth is trying to come in??

Wisdom Teeth?
thats what it sounds like to me... my second one is coming in now... and i cant wait to get them pulled.
Reply:Sounds just like a wisdom tooth is trying to come thru I would go to your dentist might not be room enough for it to come thru.
Reply:most certainly does. get to your dentist to make sure you have room in your jaw for them to come in.
Reply:Absolutely. Make an appt with your dentist to make sure everything will fit.
Reply:Doe's anyone know where I can get a wisdom tooth put in..........It would help me with Yahoo Answers.
Reply:That's how mine came in, too. Check with your dentist. Mine came in straight, but I didn't have enough room for them, so they had to be pulled. I think most peeps get them pulled, so don't worry about it. Just check with your dentist before they get infected. I am sure you'll be fine! ;)
Reply:yes this sound exactly like wisdom teeth better get it checked it could be your wisdom teeth are impacted meaning that they grow crooked or downward. the procedure is simple and much easier with local anesthesia afterward they should prescribe some pain killers such as Oxycodone aka Percocet
Reply:I know what you're going through. I have all four of my wisdom teeth doing that to me. If I dont' floss or brush my teeth regurly, 2 times a day, the gums over the wisdom teeth do get swollen and sore. I went to three different dentists within a year to get different opinions and they all said the same thing, "get them all extracted!" My wisdom teeth are so bad that the only way for me is to get them out is to surgically remove them. To answer your question, yeah the wisdom teeth might be coming in and if they're giving you problems already they might be impacted, growing towards your other molars and pushing on them. Defintely see your dentist.
