Wisdom teeth?

I have a wisdom tooth coming in on my left side and its causing pain. Dull, achy pain that I can feel in my jaw as well. I had two others come in with no problem and another one I had removed a couple of years ago. Should I see a dentist? It's hurt before and gone away after a few days.

Wisdom teeth?
Sounds like your going have that wisdom pull out soon. You need to see the dentist. I think you should pull out the other wisdom teeth. I had all four pull out when I was 23. I'm glad I did.
Reply:YESSSSS please go...I went through the same thing and the dull pain eventually turned into SEVERE pain. So please go before it gets worse, they may need to come out. I got mine out last week and feel SO SO SO much better!!!!!

Good luck!
Reply:yes go see a dentist. Wisdom teeth tend to put pressure on your adult teeth and causes them to become weak and brittle.... thats not good. You should remove it even if the pain comes and goes....
Reply:if it has happend before i would wait and see if it will go away but if it keeps hurting or gets worse go to a dentist!

I hope its gets better for you.!
Reply:If anything you should get xrayed. All four of mine came in at the same time. I thought all was good because there was no pain. When I got xrayed, they were coming in facing forward instead of up. All 4 came out.
Reply:Definitely -see a dentist ASAP. If it becomes infected, it really hurts, it's a pain that's worse than giving birth. In the meantime, make sure you brush, floss and use mouthwash.
Reply:I would try some oral-gel first and see if that helps. As long as it seems to be coming in straight it shouldn't cause any problems. If the pain persist after a day or two and over the counter medication isn't helping then I would see the dentist.
Reply:its just one of those things you will have pain come and go until it completely comes in. you may want to check and see with your dentist that you do have room for that tooth. good luck and best wishes.
Reply:I'd go, just to make sure.

They might have to pull it, or you'll have enough room and have to endure the pain as it breaks the surface of the gum.
Reply:I would go any pain in your mouth is worth a trip to the dentist even if it's not a big problem, it's worth getting checked out.
Reply:Better yet, go see an oral surgeon. This would be the best advise I could give to you. Having the tooth removed will not only help with the pain you are experiencing now, but will help you later on as well. Wisdom teeth come in at the very back of your mouth, so they can cause crowding, and decay on themselves (because they are so hard to keep clean, even with good oral hygiene because of their placement) which is painful, or decay on adjacent teeth, which may have to be filled or removed as a result. In the long run, it's best to just get them out. I really hope this helps.
