Wisdom teeth? >_<?

im almost 14 and there are these weird bumps in the back of my teeth. they dont hurt but i have been getting a few headaches lately and my jaw sort of hurts. i went to the dentist in april and they told me that if i felt anything coming out in the back of my teeth, i should make an appointment to come in. but im really scared of the dentist and i really don't want them to pull my teeth out. i dont see any actual tooth coming out so does that mean they can't remove it yet? please tell me your experiences because i have no clue what to do and i am REALLY scared!!

Don't Panic! I had three wisdom teeth taken out in one sitting and it didn't hurt a bit. They give you Novocaine to make your mouth numb. You will experience minor swelling for a couple of days and you might have to take some aspirin or Tylenol for some minor soreness, but it's not that big of a deal.





You may not be able to see your wisdom teeth because they are at the back of your mouth behind your molars. You should be able to feel them with your tongue though. I know you're scared, but don't wait too long to have them out because that can create complications. It's better to just get it over with.
Reply:Believe me, it's better to get it over with. I started with the headaches too. Come to find out the upper ones were growing into my nasal sinus and the lower ones were about to break my jaw. All 4 had to come out quick. But no biggie. They give you the gas and the needle and then you don't even care anymore. After it's over they give you some good drugs. I was so doped up that I had two hamburgers for lunch the next day and it didn't hurt a bit. I was good enough three days later that I had Thanksgiving with my family. It is definately worth feeling like a slobbering idiot for a couple of days to avoid more trouble later on.
